Good paralegals can be extremely important to a law practice. Paralegals and legal assistants may be asked to conduct legal research, prepare reports or help lawyers prepare for legal proceedings and business meetings. They work in various organizations, including, among others, private law firms, corporate legal departments and government offices
The online Paralegal program in the School of Criminal Justice at ITT Technical Institute is designed to help students develop knowledge and skills to pursue entry-level positions as paralegals and legal assistants. The program introduces fundamentals of ethics, legal research and writing, law office technology and specific areas of the law, such as criminal law, family law and litigation, among others. Students are exposed to teamwork concepts, technology and multiple approaches to problem solving.
An online education can offer opportunities for students to pursue their educational objectives when attending school in a traditional classroom is just not practical.
