ITT Technical Institute Named IMPACT Regional Education Awards Finalist
ATLANTA, Ga. (May 17, 2016) — The ITT Technical Institute in Duluth has been recognized as an education award finalist for an IMPACT Regional Business Award, which celebrates premier organizations driving economic development and job creation in metro Atlanta.
Presented by BB&T and hosted by the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, the IMPACT Regional Business Awards will honor exemplary community organizations at a luncheon ceremony on Wednesday, May 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Infinite Energy Forum located on 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
"The students and staff at ITT Tech are honored to be an education award finalist," said Nicholas Karimi, director of the ITT Technical Institute in Duluth. "We are proud to make a difference in the lives of our students and community by offering career-related educational programs that are designed to help meet the needs of local employers."
Intended to be reflective and unique to Gwinnett County and the metro Atlanta area, the award celebrates community organizations in numerous areas including education, small business, nonprofit, information technology, and healthcare.
"The IMPACT Regional Business Awards recognize premier organizations in critical industries that are driving economic development and job creation, while enhancing our quality of life," said Dr. Dan Kaufman, president and CEO of the Gwinnett Chamber. "In 2015, we launched this pivotal program and received a great response with nearly 500 nominations. Bringing together leaders across these important industries is another example of how the Gwinnett Chamber can fulfill its mission to serve as a community forum."
