ITT Tech Donates 300 Laptop Computers to KIPP Indy Public Schools

Carmel, Ind. (Feb. 29, 2016) — ITT Technical Institute is donating 300 new laptop computers to KIPP Indy Public Schools, a non-profit network of college-preparatory, public charter schools serving elementary, middle and high school students.

ITT Tech students from the Indianapolis North campus will be formatting these computers for classroom use. The donation of time and expertise is just one of the more than 2,300 community and reputation building initiatives that have occurred on ITT Tech campuses in the past year alone.

"Our students have a great opportunity to support a community organization while gaining valuable professional development experience," said Jeff Georgeson, director at the Indianapolis North ITT Tech campus. "Each campus has a unique community connection and we're proud of our ability to give back and support younger students."

The computers donated to the public charter school are valued at $100,000.

"ITT Educational Services has been a longstanding partner and supporter of KIPP Indy Public Schools, and we are so appreciative of their most recent laptop donation to our middle school and the impact this will have on student learning and achievement," said Emily Pelino, executive director at KIPP Indy Public Schools.
