ITT Technical Institute Wins Mosaic Award for Top Inclusive Workplace Culture
TULSA, Okla. (November 10, 2015) — ITT Technical Institute's Tulsa campus received a Mosaic Award from the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce, which acknowledges the area's top leaders who create inclusive workplace cultures.
Mosaic is the chamber's diversity business council. The primary focus of the Mosaic council is to create awareness about the competitive advantage of having a diverse and inclusive business climate in the Tulsa region. Mosaic seeks to leverage the region's diversity to improve perceptions of the community and grow the economy.
"ITT Tech has a solid history of providing diverse and qualified graduates in this region and boosting local business retention and expansion efforts through our workplace culture and policies," said Jerri Schoats-Stoutermire, director of the ITT Technical Institute in Tulsa. "We're in good company this year with other well-established colleges and universities and plan to keep the momentum going for our regional employers."
Companies and organizations were recognized for their commitment to diversity through Mosaic's five key metrics: diverse suppliers, diverse people, internal policies, leadership commitment and community outreach programs.
More than 300 regional organizations were surveyed this year to be considered for the Mosaic Awards, which were announced in October 2015.
