Financial Affidavit

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requires that students possessing an F-1 visa (i.e., academic students in colleges, universities, seminaries, conservatories, academic high schools, other academic institutions, and in language training) prove that financial support for tuition and living expenses are readily available for themselves and accompanying dependents for one full year of study. Proof of financial support must be submitted each calendar year.

To meet the DHS requirement, a foreign student must submit the following documents to the ITT Technical Institute campus to which the student is applying:

  • Bank statement or official sponsorship letter showing evidence of readily available funds sufficient to cover the education costs and living expenses for one full year of study; and
  • Financial affidavit signed by the foreign student and any sponsors
