ONLINE PROGRAMS | WHAT DO I NEED?

Do I need to be a computer expert to take an online course?

No. You don't need to be a computer expert to take an online course. You need to understand basic computer and Internet principles, such as how to create and save documents; cut, copy, and paste body; access the Internet; print from web pages; use "help"; attach a document to e-mail; and follow hotlinks from one web page to another. A self-assessment can help you gauge your comfort with online education.

Will I receive any training in how to take online courses?

Yes. You will be encouraged to take an online orientation before you begin the program of study. The orientation will show you how to use the online course environment, outline important school policies, and offer tips and exercises for improving your learning skills. Additionally, there are tutorials available for your use in our Virtual Library. You may always contact your instructor or any of the other resources provided for more information.
