Objectives
This program offers a foundation to develop business knowledge and skills. It combines the study of fundamentals of marketing, finance, and communication. The program also emphasizes the impact of the dynamic global information age on business and how to make efficient use of technology. The program includes three major focuses. The business focus provides an introduction to functional areas of business. The marketing focus offers principles and practices with emphasis on consumer behavior. The communication focus offers a strong foundation in professional communication. This area of study includes foundation principles of professional business communication and methods and techniques used in the information age.

Career Opportunities
Business administration skills are important in every organization, from government to the private sector and from small local companies to multi-national companies. This program offers graduates an opportunity to develop knowledge and skills that can help them begin careers in a variety of entry-level business and related positions.

School Equipment
Students will have the opportunity to use the following school equipment as required throughout the program: computer systems, network hubs, patch panels, printers and other common computer peripherals. Refer to Student Equipment in the Online Course Information section of this catalog for information relating the student equipment requirements for the distance education courses that are taught online over the Internet.

Class Size
Classes generally range in size from 20 to 40 students. Depending on the course subject matter, certain classes may contain a greater or lesser number of students.
